The Sieg SC8 was eliminated because while it has a QCGB for threading and Feed the spindle mount is its major downfall- same as on the SC4. The spindle has a flat flange with a locating sholder and 4 holes for bolting on the chuck. Three problems are that it is very fiddly, slow and inaccurate.

Rather than an X1 as an attachment to the lathe, my view would be to get the X1 standalone (or better an X3!). Lots of reasons for this view, but here is one to think about. The traverse wheel on my Sieg lathe is calibrated to 0.5mm as the smallest division. My stand alone mill x&y axis wheels are calibrated to 0.05mm as the smallest division.

The runout of the inner taper is within 0.01 mm, while the runout measured on the shank of a tool fastened into the chuck is 0.04 mm, of course worse than measured at the taper. I have an Sieg SC4 with a milling attachment. I have found that the milling attachment is now not versatile for the jobs I am having to do, and intend to do in the future. Youtube has been a bonus.
